NSW Transport Minister Shuts Down E-Scooter Trial Talks
NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance was scathing in his attacks on electric scooters at the latest NSW budget estimates hearing, dismissing talks of potential trials by simply stating that he wasn’t “in the mood” at this point in time.
He went further by referring to these devices as dangerous and a nuisance, saying “If you go and look at the rest of the world and what's going on around e-scooters, it’s a disaster. People getting killed, e-scooters getting left on streets, e-scooters littering parks and footpaths, people falling over them.”
Mr Constance will be one of the members present at the upcoming vote to legalise electric Personal Mobility Devices - a vote which requires unanimous acceptance by all members of the Infrastructure and Transport National Cabinet Reform Committee.
Please show Mr Constance that everyday Australians and his own constituents are in favour of PMD legalisation by signing and sharing our formal petition, and consider making a donation to our campaign so that we can bring the more positive aspects of our devices to a wider audience and win the support of mainstream Australia.
