Vehicle Impounded in Benalla, Vic

Benalla Police has seized an electric scooter earlier this week and had it towed to their impound facility. The owner was reported to have been “breaking a number of road rules”.

Riding a personal mobility device in Victoria is still illegal on any public area including roads and footpaths. Electric Riders Australia is seeking to change that by actively petitioning for changes to the Australian Road Rules allowing for the use of such vehicles, which State governments can then incorporate into their local laws.
